The Sinhala & Tamil New Year dawned upon us at 8.23 PM on the 13th April in 2020, according to the nekath/astrological observations.

Dear Readers,

Going to start this blog by saying, I just recently started this and it has yet to get traction but my only motive is to stay consistent and keep pushing content until one or a couple of internet onlookers see my blogs and they be like, "this blog deserves a read,". So, for the new year ahead, it is to get this little baby to get to do the baby steps before it crawls and then finally walks without tipping over.

Speaking of the new year, I would wish you a very Happy Sinhala & Tamil New Year. Yes, times are tough with the current situation at hand, but we got to remember we can get through this, and this has happened in the past, with the Plague of Athens and the black death and so on.

So, keep your heads high and be prepared to get ready for a new world after this is all over. As always enjoy your Kiribath and Kavum/Kokkis!

(Note: if you are a non-Sri Lankan, chances are you do not know the couple of terms I threw around here, so click of them to clear the doubt on what the hell I just said)
